In the immortal words of General MacAuthur: I shall return. (especially Paris!)
I arrived back in Columbus about 10pm last night (which is 4am Paris time) and have been up and at'em since 6am. I checked a bag for this leg of the trip, and it is still in Detroit. We were a couple hours delayed in Paris so it was a sprint in Dertoit to get through customs and on my connecting flight, and my bag just didn't make it. Allegedly it will be delivered to the house today. No big deal...it is just the gifts!
If it wasn't obvious from my reading this, the trip was excellent. I'm pleased with how much I saw, and I already have a list for things I want to do on the next trip, whenever that may be. A couple weeks away from 'real life' has left me more relaxed than I've been since cancer came to town, which is what I needed.
Thanks for reading the blog. While I'm glad I went alone, I also wanted to share what I was seeing and the blog gave me that outlet. As a final reminder, I'm going to be without my cell phone for while; it just left London. If you need/want to reach me, call the house or the office. (And by the way, I've never wanted to chuck the cell phone for good more than I do now. Two weeks without that thing was wonderful.)
Au revoir,
Lori
