It's not always the well none tourist spots that are the best!

Now in waitmate an hour south of timaru, the drive down highlighted the contrast between the lush green irriugated fields and the stained yellow fields demanding rain, some lovely countrieside on the way down hear.

This afternoon was more than great, i had my own local tour round waitmate the small town itself with some buatiful public gardens the bright colours of the flower beds standing out imediatley the varies birds on show and some walibys on show for the public. The town is small, but small is what i like, your not far from nature hear, or quite spots full of natural colours of trees, and vegetation and no one else around. The roads gravely and bumpy but tacking you to beutiful places to which i straight away found myself thinking now this is a place i would of loved to grow up in, with areas to run aorund and jump in river pools, camping, playing all the original childrens games you can imagen running in and out of trees, picnics by the rivers and in the woods. The white horse, litterally a large white horse made out of concrete on the side of the hill, once there you can see the whole of the town out to the sea, a beautiful place!

Visiting a dairy farm witch is like a little oasis the lush green feilds with shinney cows the white and black ones you think of when you drink your glass of milk. Just in time to see a milking, this farm had 1000 cows and they all new what they were doing a very neet and organised opperation the cows in, the sucker things on, then the milk into pipes as the cows go round on a giant roundabout thing ( i no the terminology isnt very good at this part of the blog, i did find it really interesting to see this).

From the farm another little tour, the goegraphical features to be seen all over, ofcourse i was rather happy to be seeing the rivers, the rock features, the gradients were were driving through, it was one of those lovely afternoons with blue skys and being in my element. As i may have said previous, the top tourist things may be amazing but im descovering what i had hoped and wanted is that the locals can really show you the real parts of there part of the country where the amazing childhood memories tell the story of the places and those out of the way spots witch hold so much stories and incredable images for your eyes to absord with out bus loads of people just taking the pictures becuase they have to take them. I take pictures to try and capture the amazing things ive loved to see; to show all of you but if im onest a picture never captures what the human eye can see and the memories you gain, but it can just give you that spark to recapture the image in your head! and share that with the people you know will appreciate it :)!
