It is Saturday morning. I have spent the evening in Lake Placid NY. I drove through Lake George on my way up here. What I am noticing is that as my trip is drawing nearer the end, and I look at how far I have to drive to get home, I am becoming less interested in paying attention to where I am now and what I am doing now. Don't misunderstand, this is all just lovely. Beautiful, in fact. And I appreciate the scenery, and the views, and the leaves, and the lakes, and the people have been wonderful.
For today, I am leaving here and driving to Saranac Lake which is only a few miles from here. I am going to concentrate more on seeing the scenery than getting somewhere by the end of the day. So for tonight, who knows where I will end up. I had thought about possibly camping in the Adirondacks somewhere tonight, but the forecast is for 29 degrees and possible rain. Don't think I will be camping. Fair weather camper, I guess.
