hey!

Had quite a busy week

On Monday we had to go and meet the people who are organising us while we're here. We also met 2 students who had just graduated and they took us to one of the hospitals to show us the way. It is the one I am at first with rachel and it's MILES away!! It's abaout as far west as you can go in HK before you get to China in a place called Tuen Mun (pronounced toon moon). We have to catch a bus at 7.45 every day to get there for 9am! Luckily its direct so we don't have to change. Things are much faster over here, you look down for a second and the patient has gone and a new one is in. They don't hang around to talk to patients or let them move across beds slowly, if they aren't moving fast enough they get pulled by their pyjamas!! scary!

We had today (friday) off and we went to the beach at a place called Repulse Bay. It's on the south side of HK island. They beach was really nice but the sea wasn't too great. They had shark nets though so it was ok to swim.

Not sure of the exact plan for the rest of the weekend, maybe going to one of the smaller islands tomorrow and to a market in a place called Stanley on sunday which is supposed to be pretty good.

We went to a night market this week too which was fun.

We booked flights to Thailand last night, 4th-13th August which will be a nice break!! Then we swap hospitals and we go to the one which is a half hour train ride, so we get a lie in!!
