Buenos Aires, Argentina
Hey there everyone!!!
Well other than Liz toppling over with her backpack in the airport (she looked like a tortoise) we made it here with no difficulties. We´ve been treated to some of the sights of Buenos Aires. We went to the place where Evita sang to the masses - Plaza de Mayo and to where she was buried - Recoleta. The cemetry was full of tombs and was the strangest thing weve ever seen. the tombs were beautifully constructed but you could actually see some of the coffins inside! weird!
We took a tour around an antiques fair which was cool but pretty pointless as I doubt we would ever cart an antique around the world for the next few months. There was lots of buskers about which gave it a really cool atmosphere.
There was a huge electrical storm last night. Never heard anyhting like it. Thought the hostel was going to collapse. Although I might be slightly exaggerating there as Liz slept straight through it!
We´ve been to a few bars and met some really nice people. Although think we´re off the sauce tonight don´t think my liver can take it. Maybe just a nice civilised meal instead, ha!
So as you can see the weather is pretty poor hence me finding the motivation to type a blog entry. Pictures are soon to follow. As soon as we find a computer that doesn´t come from the dark ages (the 90s).
Love and miss you all (well most of you at least)
Kirsty and Lizzie
