So, what have I been up to.

Well I have been Whale watching! Amazing stuff. 2 pods of Whales came right up to the boat. They really are quite majestic! I couldnt quite believe it. Was an amazing day. The weather was beautiful. Had such a lovely time. I've also decided that I could quite happily lounge on a boat for a while. Tis so theraputic. :)

I spent most of last week making a Sheep costume and a toy sheep for a show that is happening as part of the Brisbane Festival. That was a fun little job to do. :).

Last time I was here I volunteered on a show that was part of QMF and on Sunday they screened the show as part of the ASSI 150 years commeration and festival. Was so good to see it again. Brought back all the emotions and memories from the time I spent in Bowen. It was good to see that it is starting to make the public more aware of the story of the South Sea Islanders in Australia.

Now for the exciting plans to come!!!

I have booked my 25th Birthday trip to Cairns. Im staying at the YHA up there for 3 nights. I head there on 14th and getting to explore Cairns. My first full day will be a tour of the Tablelands and Waterfalls including some Waterfall swimming. Then my Birthday is going to be spent on a day tour of the reef, snorkelling and doing an introductory dive! :D Not that I'm looking forward to it at all.

I;ve also booked my New Years tour to Sydney. Head off to NSW on 30th December and join up with the contiki tour that eve. I get to see the fireworks on a boat in the harbour!! Possibly a trip to the Hunter Valley and a little trip to Bondi.

lots to look forward to and a few more plans in the pipe work! Loving my time in Oz so far. (Plus the weather is warmer than the UK and its apparently still winter here!!! tehehe)xx
