Again I had the same feeling as when I was in Anne Frank's house...how can one human being be so cruel to another?" War (unfortunately) is the perfect storm that brings out the worst in people. Combine: A) People who have been indoctrinated to think that "the enemy" are not even human. With: B) People who heard that a job will involve killing their fellow man and totally wanted in on that. And you can see why these things happen.
