After a tearful farewell we landed in NYC bang in the middle of the Brazilian Festival! Our airport shuttle driver was a bit crazy and because of the traffic problems couldn't take us directly to out hostel. So we had to walk through thousands of (tipsy) Brazilians with our 22.4kg bags to the hostel!! The hostel was in a great location but that was about it!! Luckily we didn't plan on spending much time there. That night after we'd thrown our bags in we hit the shops!!! It's very spread out so we ending up lost quite a few times. Went to Top of the Rock. This is the observatory at the top of the Rockefellar Centre, got some great pics of the sun going down.

Didn't do much that night as we were a little jet-lagged!
