Day 3

BBQ last night was great - very australian!!!

Today we headed into the city to the new sky-tower edge experience. Essentially, it's a 300m tall building (the tallest residential building in the world) which you ascend by lift (42 seconds to cover 88 floors!) to look out over Melbourne. The weather was fabulous which meant the views were spectacular, but the "unique selling point" is the "edge" - a glass box which moves to 3m outside the edge of the building with clear views in every direction. Fantastic!

Having looked out at Melbourne, we went to St Kilda (a beach suburb) to eat at a beachside restaurant. Brilliant Italian food looking out over the ocean - so good that I managed to stay awake until 11pm!

I also managed to find out where my placement will be - I'm in Alice Springs, which is good - internet, phones and even a few shops!
