Day 33 Hello all! I have had a really busy but fantastic three days being a tourist! Yippee! Day Thirty Hello again:) Hope everything is good with you all in the UK, and the weather is beginning to warm up. I'm sending lots of sunny thoughts! Yesterday was another busy day in the clinic, with lots of patients and a seemingly mad rush of pregnant women! My obstetrics is getting better each time! I have seen everything from twins, to a third trimester "I think I might be preganant", to a presentation at about 2 weeks.... I saw a four year old ...

Day Eighteen (I think!) Back in Alice for the weekend; the clinic were very keen for me to stay and be on call, but I needed to escape! Five 12+hour days a week is enough for me! Am back in Alice where I can expose my shoulders and work on my tan (oh, so fickle!).... am debating hiring a car for the day and heading out to the desert park; should be good fun and the weather is lovely (if very very hot!), otherwise I might work on my laziness and lie by the pool ...

Day Eleven Back in Alice for the weekend - managed to hitch a lift with the odd-job man from the clinic, and will head back tomorrow afternoon ready for my first full week! Friday in the clinic was not nearly as busy as Thursday; there was a big funeral in the community, so most of the residents were there. Day Seven Busy day today! It was the first orientation and induction day in Alice Springs, and I was in lectures from 8.30 to 4.30 - a bit of a shock to the system! Working in this heat is very strange, not helped by the air conditioner in the room being set so low I had to ask for it to be turned down... oh, how they laughed at the uber-sensitive little english girl!
