Last blog for this trip. Day started great in helena MT. It was finally dry for our start. The usual macdonalds oatmeal breakfast was had and then we almost made an oops by trying to go wrong way on one way. All went uneventful until we hit the flat open ground south of browning MT. Unbelievable crosswinds gusting to 100km nearly blew my 750lb motorcycle off the road. Our speed dropped to 50 miles an hour and it was 30 miles of pure hell but we made it. We then decided to push thru to home ( 975 km) while we had light and good weather. Got home at 10:45. All in all a fantastic trip that was all adventure and hard to believe we covered 6700kms in 9 days with all days starting at 7:00 am and in bed by 9:00 pm. Pictures can't do justice to the spectacular scenery we saw during our travels. Makes us itchy already for next years adventure. Both machines performed flawlessly and aside from 1 light flash and finger point at us for speeding we had no run in with the law. Lots of highlights.. Pikes Peak was great, four corners was cool but anti climatic but we did venture into Arizona by mistake trying to find four corners. The mudslide in WY made us thankful we have some considerable biking skills but running out of gas just sucks. Edmonton could learn a few construction marking techniques from the states, as all construction was really well marked with one exception when we took off ramp for our turn only to find sign that asks motorcycles to reconsider this route. How the hell to U-turn on interstate off ramp?? See yah next trip!!
