HI.. Just a quick catch up on where and how i am.. The last blog was from Penange and we travelled out of there early morning to get to The Camerone Highlands.. This is where we all started to get our travelly juices running and get involved with a little trekking and climbing around in waterfalls and forestry. We arrived here and to our supprise it was rather chilly!! i had not packed a coat or a rain mac, Oopse. This place is very high up so getting there was through very windy roads and gladly i do not suffer from travel sickness. The place was quite small and village like with very little to do but Trek.. So the next day me and a few more in my group decided to do the big one, the full day 3.5 difficulty trek. :) so i went out and bought a rain mac as i could see it getting rather wet. Which it did, we had this crazy old indian guy who bless him was an old man. I was shocked it was him taking us but to be fair he was better than the rest of us. It was up hill most of the way and up hill to see a flower. Sorry i can not remember the name of it but it is rare and hardly ever blooms. It was blooming today so we were in luck. It got so wet but that made no difference to how wet we were as the sweat was keeping us soaked.. sorry but it was it was really hard work and practcally vertical in places. I got reallyb into it and really did not think i would as i am in no way a sporty person and really am not that fit... But i did. We saw the flower after climbing a very slippery hill... (but i did not fall) :) my mate sarah lost her shoe in the mud whcih was rather funny. But yeah the flower was a flower... Nuf said. Then it was down hill all the way so this was the enjoyable part . All in all i loved it and can see myslef doing it again it has even given me the desire to do the Inca Trail in Peru :) .... The Camerone highlands is known for its Tea Plantations, so we went to one and had an amazing cup of tea and a scone.. So i was very happay as this was the first cup of tea since i left the uk.. which was 3 weeks ago.. (scary) Plus had to get the gran some tea bags as she is a bit a fan.. Plus they grow strawberries here so we pigged out on them. I sware i am putting on weight as we are always out eating in the group, now the group is over i am on a fruit diet need to as Singapore is so expensive. We left Here with another early morning bus journey and ventured to Kuala Lumphur. Was really not too sure what to expect here.. We got here by public bus and had to walk to our hotel through cinatown.. It felt like miles, my back was in so much pain as it was scorching sun and me bag was very heavy, pplus my side bag. Any ways we got to the hotel and and had a moch around. It is so bouilt up and deserves to be the capital city of malaysia. We headed to the petagonas twin towers and took lots of pictures.. this is the main attraction in KL so felt we had to see these and hoped in the morning we could go up them. But sadly we got up and met @ 7.30 with the whole group and went down as they allocate tickets for the day to go up there. No workd of a lie we got there 8 ish and they told us no more tickets.. Was gutted as most of the group really wanted to do this. So we got up early for nothing.. well since we were up we moched around the city. We saw the Palace!! in which we could not go in so did not see the point in this. B ut we did see the king come out in his car. we went up the BT tower instead and saw the whole city. (i took lots of opics but sadly me laptop has broken :( and can not download them until i get it fixed, am hoping to do it in singapore) . We also went into the national mosque in which we had to wear these silly purple robes. But was good to see inside, it was stunning. the sun was so hot here but i am not getting a tan.. not that i would any way as i am a red head so go red.. but i can go brown if a work on it. I am going to have to as i can not get to Australia looking as white as i do!! its embarassing. The eveni9ng was spent drunked.. i went out with two girls from the group sarah and kelly and we had a really good night. We went to this raggie place near to the hotel and drunk lots of cocktails.. :) It was full of iranian people and chinese, and australian so quite a mix of cultures.. :) then we ended up @ a shisha place in which we spent the night smoking tghe shisha looking cool in a strange tent thing till stupid o clock in the morning.. 5 ish so you can imaging the state of us on the bus the next morning @ 7.. But i could of been worse as the place was run but Muslims so there was no alcohol... no alcohol i tell you and if you know me then this does not bode well with me. But i got a taste for the shisha... i may have to get me a shisha pipe.. lol ... Well will blog soon about me singapore experience as i have 5 more days here... speak soon and keep in touch people as i still have the same number xxxxx
