... So its been a while since a blog update ... Soz, its funny how when you havent got the internet you want it more than ever but when you have it at your fingertips you cant be arsed to use it LOL
so last update we had just arrived at Chazelle sur Lavieu just north of St Etienne in France. We met up with a couple of friends of mine who moved out here about 7 odd years ago to start up a B&B Debbie and Debbie :) After a few bottles of wine and a giggle we decided to stay and look after the house, 2 x dogs and 2 x cats whilst they went back to England for a week ... isnt it funny how things just seem to work out :)
Anyways we arrived here on the Monday and they were leaving on the Friday so we decided to go off to Lyon and look around for a few days, we found the most ideal and free car park right in the centre of town and spent two days just chilling out, looking around the old and new towns going round museums and looking in the Cathederal etc... Look at the pics... on the Thursday night we headed back to Chazelle sur Lavieu for a full break down of tending the zoo!!
So the last week has bee very relaxing apart from the odd dog incident ... we went to a local market in St Just and Josh has been eating his way through 500g of olives ever since, we also have become experts at finding our way to the local supermarket in St Etienne although it was closed on Saturday so we had to go back LOL and other than that our days have been full of contented beading (on my part) reading, surfing the web, sitting in the sun and walking the dogs through the most gorgeous of forests! Bliss
... our week is very nearly over and today after Josh bought back some filthy misbehaved dogs from their walk we visited Marie-Claude and Guy (Two of Debbie and Debbies french friends) for tea and pancakes, conversation was funny and slow but we managed to explain Lent and Pancake Day as well as how Kg's are easier to mutiple than Lb's!!! dont ask LOL
and tomorrow we will be cleaning LOL and repacking the van as well as having a very long soak in the largest of bathtubs MMMMMmmmmm in time for the return of the Debbies, then probably on Monday we will set off again on our adventures heading down to near El Port de la Selva in Spain, which was recommended to us by a very sweet Irish guy in Luxemborg :)
Love to all xxx
