G'day All!!!
I don't know where to start or what to write as i haven't got my journal, my mind is all over the place plus i have a backpacker crashed out by my feet as the (dirty) hostel has run out of beds!!!!
I loved New Zealand...i didn't want to leave Queenstown (esp. after i bumped into Ben the cute 18 yr old and of course i didn't want to leave the fergburgers!). I went onto a place called Dunedin which was strange and i attempted to watch the All Blacks on a Saturday night in a pub on my own.....i moved onto Lake Tekapo which was gorgeous (bloody cold though, -3 in the morning!) and stayed there 2 nights. It's famous for an observatory which i checked out one evening...it was amazing! I have never seen so many stars or planet or the Milky Way...i saw Jupiter up close with it's browny atmospheric stripes and moons...GEEK! I also went on another mountain treck, which i seem to love putting myself through!
Luckily the Magic bus gang caught up with me and we all moved onto Christchurch together; last stop for me! It's very English and to be honest i didn't particularly like it! We ended up watching Shrek 3 one night and Pirates of the Carribean the next!
Sad to say goodbye to people, i flew out to Brisbane last Thursday to be welcomed by Becks (ex-Gallions) and her family at the airport!!! It was wicked!! They really looked after me and i had my own room (luxury!!) and homecooked meals and my washing done. Me and Becks hit the town on Friday night, which was pretty dead where we went, but was still a good night...i even straightened my hair! I have also had a whistle stop tour of the gold coast which was great to be in the sun and on the beach after NZ. We also had a day shopping for my swag (like a one man tent!), boots, shirts, sleeping bag, cowboy hat (which i love!!) so that i am now prepared for my outback experience! I would have been so lost without the Millers (thanks again Becks!).
I have just endured a 27 hr bus journey from Brisbane and through the outback (it's very much like the picture above if you can see it!), and i still have lots of travelling to do tomorrow to get to the actual farm near Julia Creek!! I have NO IDEA of what i'm letting myself into and to be honest i am very nervous now!!! I hope it's all worth it....i wish i was still in New Zealand!!
Better go and let this guy at my feet sleep...you probably won't hear from me for a while so it's been nice knowing ya ; ) ! I will be in contact when i can guys....love ya and look after yourselves! xxxxxxxxx
