Monday. I woke up early yet again to the sound of the cockerels outside the hostel. I won't be sad to see the back of them! I packed my bags and we checked out ready to move on to the next place. After breakfast me and my sister lay on some cushion seats in 'Why not' bar whilst Nick and Lauren brought the backpacks down on the bikes to save us all walking with them, then they took the bikes back. Nick was really hungover and being sick, so he was struggling with life and everything was taking him a bit longer than it should. We booked a mini bus for 1:30pm to take us back to Chiang Mai. It was surprisingly on time, early in fact, and much nicer than the one we came up to Pai on. Me and Kirsty sat at the front with sicky Nick to save anyone else risking it. I definitely pulled the short straw because only 40 minutes in to our 3.5 hour, Nick was shouting driver to stop. Due to the intense bends it took a few minutes to find somewhere to pull over that was safe, and the whole time Nick is asking the driver again to pull over. I told him to use the sick bags we picked up in Chiang Mai airport but he then tells me It's Kirsty who is about to throw up. The driver didn't make it in time so Kirsty was using the plastic bag and then as soon as we stopped both Nick and Kirsty flew past me and off the bus to be sick at the side of the road. What a sight. Me and Lauren were rushing to get more bags and some baby wipes for them, then we all finally got back on the bus. Nick got told by the driver he had to sit in the front passenger seat next to him, and we couldn't stop laughing about the whole incident, although no one else seem impressed. When we finally reached the Eco resort we were staying at in Chiang Mai, we were really impressed with it. It was new and clean and had a really big pool. It was also so quiet and peaceful, on the opposite end of the scale compared to the last place. We went out for food, and all really wanted pizza. After a half hour walk found Billy's Italian restaurant to satisfy our cravings. Typically, by this time I was feeling too sick to eat so didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped. We headed to the 'Night Bazarr' afterwards which was a really long street with i don't know how many market stalls. They sell pretty much anything you need and it was so busy. After a long day we got a tuk tuk back to the hostel and prepped our things for the elephant sanctuary in the morning. The four of us were sharing a 4 bed room tonight, but tomorrow Kirsty and Nick are moving in to a private room, which is fine by me and Lauren as Nick and Kirsty aren't as tidy and organised as us!
