Tuesday 2nd February.
I was sad to check out of our hostel as we had a great group in our room, but that's part of travelling I guess. We went for breakfast with Briana and Laura in Guilty Rogue then went across the road to the transit centre to get our bus. All of our buses are with the Greyhound company which is more like a coach, and has a charger point for each seat and temperamental wifi, but isn't too bad and is more comfortable than I was expecting it to be. We got the greyhound to Noosa where we check in to Noosa Nomads, which turned out to the the worst hostel we have stayed in in Oz so far. We waited forever to check in, and there's no air con or a fan so everyone was melting, and then got put in to a 16 bed dorm with just one fan to cool the room. We had to laugh about it. There was only a couple of top bunk beds left which was bad times for me as I hate it, but Kirsty prefers them so she wasn't fussed. We met Oscar from Sweden, Will from the UK and Jess from Holland who were in our room. Jess was travelling alone so asked if she could come for dinner with us. We went to a pub across the road, as it was raining really heavy. We were going to try and meet up with Briana and Laura who were in Noosa too, but they were a 20 minute walk away and the weather wasn't playing. Jess was really nice and we had some nice food and sat chatting for a couple of hours. When we got back to the hostel we wondered how much sleep we would get with so many people in the room, but strangely enough all 16 of us were in bed with the lights off by 11pm. We couldn't believe it. A few people were getting up early for Fraser Island the next morning so we knew they would want an early night but we had braced ourselves for a sleepless night just in case.
