Sunsphere,
The city of Knoxville hosted the 1982 World's Fair and they built a huge gold plated dome on a stick to celebrate Energy. Today it just stands in front of the Convention Center and looks cool. There was nowhere to park for free except at a church across the street. We rode the elevator, took a couple of photos and got back in the car. Downtown Brewery on Gay Street was our destination. The people of Knoxville were the friendliest we have seen in years. The bars and restaurants were dog friendly and everyone seemed to be happy to be where they were on a Friday night after work. When we took our table outside the brewery we were the only people there, but we were soon joined by Bill Page and Jake the Dog. We soon found out that he was the most famous man in Knoxville Tenn. Everyone who walked by greeted him. He is a busker who fought the law and won. You can catch him on www.buskerbreak.com
