Lisa n Charlie Europe 2006
Hey
Got to Budapest in the early hours, only couldnt remember what our hostel was called, couldnt call anyone to find out either as phone battery died..................good start ya?
Any way found an internet cafe and got the name of hostel and jumped in a taxi, but couldnt check in till 12, and it was bout 5am!!
So we took ourselves on a little tour of the city and couldnt find a thing-our map reading skills arnt up to scratch.
After a long long long long time walking getting annoyed with ourselves for not being able to find anything we finally found what wed been looking for all day...........................the famous thermal baths, they were just what we needed and are definatly worth a vist.
Later that day we met up with a friend who has been working in Budapest for a month, he helped with our bearings and the following day we went round all the best sights of Budapest. The Castle District, the National Park and Millenium Monument. We also saw the Balisica but there was wedding going on so we couldnt go to the view point, never mind we found a gondola type thing in buda that was just as good.
Budapest is our new favourite city it is beautiful and their is so much to do here, Budapest is a must for anyone travelling around Europe.
