Day 66 - 14th Mar - Left Byron today, headed up the coast on the Greyhound to Surfers Paradise, now in Queensland. Hostel is really good, right in the centre of everything and has really good facilities like pool, spa, sauna, tennis and squash courts. Headed straight to the beach as was such a beautiful sunny day, beach was really close, so spent the day as usual sunbathing and going in and out of the sea jumping the waves. Surfers is really commercial and not really what any of us were expecting, it feels like you are in Spain somewhere. It is full of lots of high-rise hotels, shopping centres and lots of restaurants and bars, I thought it would be more like Byron as in one of the smaller more surfing based places but it is the complete opposite. The evening we went to the local night market, which was full of lots of really cute stalls and lots of really nice crafts stuff, it was one of the markets that you could buy so many cute little presents and one off items at, but we just settled for some fruit leather! After went for a really cheap pizza, which none of us could finish so took about half each home which we made use of for breakfast/lunch the next day!
