Day 30 - 7th Feb - Today we traveled from the North to the South Island. Early start as we had to get the ferry from Picton across. Another long day of driving too, making our way down to Christchurch. The South Island is a lot prettier than the North I think we all agree on that, lots more scenery. Again a few of the pointless stops again, but we did make one stop at a seal colony where we got to see some seal pups with there mums on the rocks. Once we finally got to Christchurch we had to rush off to go and see the cricket. We managed to get tickets to see New Zealand Black Caps v. England in the 20:20 match. The match was really funny/scary! I was suprised at the New Zealand fans behaviour they were really agressive at everyone even their own fans, not to mention any england fans! we were a bit quiet to say the least. Well it was an experience to say the least and England won which was the most important thing!
