Glad that you survived the carnival - just from the sounds of it. The pictures of the beaches were amazing, plus the hammocks, the satellite dishes in the middle of nowhere, and the large green insect, better than a cockroach! Minus 4 degrees here.

My lovely,
The Blog is fantastic: 5 stars out of 3! Were it not for the fact that it's sunny outside, I'd be my usual jealous self...we have to take each happy moment as it comes!
Just one week of exams to go and I'm off to the Venezuela of the North...Glasgow. Yes! :-P Then I'll be re-entering London society; lock up your dancefloors!
Stay safe and photo-document EVERYTHING,

Fantastic blog, you could be a journalist at this rate. I see you are exposing yourself to sharks and potential tidal disasters - do be careful! We are just off to Concrete Cowboys gig at Stony, John Farthing playing. Snow did not materialise this weekend but we had sub zero temperatures. I must get a map out to see exactly where you are.

I'm not impressed I have to do maths to post you a message! 4+3? I beg your pardon? What do you take me for, some sort of human calculator?!?!
In other news . . . great blog as always! I'm so jealous (how many times will I say that before you come home?!) But why are so many of the pictures teeny-tiny? I couldn't fully experience the sunset and I was v disappointed! Loving your description of the kayaking though. Bloody trees, they don't half get themselves planted in the wrong place, do they. Pure selfishness if you ask me. Also v impressed that you braved the shark-infested waters when you were scared just to be standing looking at Hong Kong harbour! I hope there weren't any nibbling at your toes whilst you were busy drooling over your instructor!!
The weather here is cold and it was pretty wet this week, with gale-force winds which are capsizing ferries and knocking drivers off the road oop north. But they've been promising blizzards and flurries of the white stuff down here and so far . . . nothing! <-- me crying at lack of snow. And, you know, at missing you too.
Hope you're topping up your tan (safely!!) and enjoying your freshly-caught crab and lovely exotic cocktails whilst I grab a Cornish pasty and a Starbucks on the way through Waterloo (the height of excitement in my life at the moment)!!

Keep 'em coming, Lis! I'm living vicariously through you and enjoying it thoroughly, if not a little jealously!! I would like to know one thing, though: are you going to be meeting gradually hotter and hotter men on each stop in your travels?!? This is incredibly unfair, there were no fit Kiwi men on my travels; they were all off serving Ozzie beer in the bars in Wimbledon! Having said that, there were some proper fitties who would have impressed even your high standards in Fiji, so I would like some photographic evidence of yours before I let you have the crown!!
Miss you lots, travel safely, and carry on having a fantastic time! xxx
