Sa wat dii kha! (Hello)
I made it to Lopburi. It was only 1.5 hrs away so thought I might as well go for the day. Anyway i'm glad i did because it was fantastic. The town is completely over run with monkeys & they cause all sorts of trouble. They gave us sticks to fight them off but I still got scratched when one of them stole a bag i had in my hand, he krept up on me from behind. At first i was worried i might have rabies but i met a man who had some teeth marks in his arm & he said they bite him all the time & it's fine. If you don't hear from me for a while though start to worry! I got some great pics but be patient because it takes ages to load them on, technology is not so great here.
I caught the train back to Ayutthaya & sat next to a man, Linn that wouldn't stop talking to me. He was very nice though, he studies in Bangkok & his dream is to go to America. He wanted to give me something but all he had on him was some soap so he gave me a bar. It was so lovely of him - either that or he was trying to tell me something!
Gina (lady who owns the guest house) & Sam Sai took me & a Japanese guy Tucca to see the temples at night all lit up, they looked better at night. We were going to go to a bar but it was a full moon which is a holy day & so lots of places were shut. We still went out for dinner though. We had some Korean food. They bring out different kinds of raw meat & raw egg in a bowl & you cook it on a stove in the middle of the table. It was lovely but pretty sure I'm going to get food poisoning. I ate everything it advises you not to in the guide book. Nevermind, being sick will give me something to do when i'm in Sukothai - another boring town. Sam Sai was teaching me Thai & making me tell the waiters I loved them. She's such a funny woman she insists on kissing me everytime she sees me & she's got no teeth. She smells my hair a lot as well. Then we went back to Gina's bar & got the party started! I didn't have the ingredients to make any cheeky vimtos though unfortunately.
I'm going to be sad to leave the guest house but can't wait to move on although not looking forward to Sukothai
