Hello! Hello!
So I've been home a few days and in spite of the cold and rain, I'm slowly readapting to Scottish life after a good 2 weeks exploring Zanzibar. I'm fully getting into Christmas mode too by eating mince pies, watching Christmas movies and catching up on my missed advents!
Before real life takes over, I just wanted to take a minute to say Thank-you for reading my blog while I've been away and for all of your lovely comments, they were very sweet and encouraging. ( However, I'm going to ignore the suggestions that I should write a book!)
I also wanted to say a more general Thank-you for your support and for helping me to fundraise before my trip, especially to everyone who has given a sock monkey a home!
It really was an incredible 3 months and (as cliched as it sounds) a truly unforgettable experience. And as I've said before, I'll bore you with stories for a long time to come!

Rhiannon Haha! Well I don't know who suggested that you write a book, but I would have to agree that your blog entries were definitely book worthy :D Just what you wanted to hear I'm sure! Anyway, reading them has been one of the few highlights of my life these past 3 months, so Thank you for writing them so well. xxxxx
Susan King I really enjoyed reading of your experiences and look forward to hearing about them first hand when you feel you can squeeze some coffee and cake alongside the mince pies! Do I hear that you'll be teaching at Beaconhurst in the summer? And what are your other plans? Do get in touch when you can.
Charlotte I think you have inspired us all with your adventures in Tanzania. Your blog has been amazing and sounds (unsurprisingly) like you’ve made a real impression over there. We are very lucky to have you back: D.... and I will now try to win your affections with magic beans!
