Well after leaving Bangkok we headed to Hau Hin, it took 3 hours on the bus. Its quite a small place with loads of bars, guest houses, Hilton and Sofitel Hotels, lots of massage places and loads of markets. Its a very popular place for the Thais to come and holiday here. Everywhere you go there are family run stalls of food, tuk tuks (the little taxis) and lots of smiling faces! The beach is lovely and so far the weather has be really really hot, until this afternoon!!! I am sitting in internet cafe with the rain and thunder pouring down and locked out my guest house!!! I have had a few traumas so far! Bitten to death my mossies (they like the Scottish blood!), had my ATM card taken from me at the hole in the wall (I have just waited 4 hours this morning at the bank for a man to come and open it and luckily they gave me it back!!) SORRY Dad for all the tears on the phone when it happened! (a girl always needs Dad advice!!). We have been woken in the night by a tremer! It was really scary, the whole building moved and our beds were moving too, the noise was awful, I couldnt get back to sleep either as I was so scared!
We have me up with Walter & Carol (the guy we met at the Dubai rugby) The first night we met up we headed to a seafood restaurant, top class (I was proud of what Singer managed to eat, ha ha!!) Walt, Singer and myself in true Scottish style lasted till 6am drinking cocktails, as you can guess we were REALLY ILL the next day, hee hee!! Having a blast with them, yesterday Carol & I sat and sunbathed by the pool at the Sofitel hotel (such a backpacker eh!!!) while Singer and Walt went for a game of golf!! It was full moon last night so the four of us had dinner on the beach for the full moon, it was out of this world!
We are in Hau Hin till Wednesday morning, heading back to Bangkok for out tour which begins on Thursday!
