Tonight we are heading to Monte Carlo to lose some wonga!
Monaco is small but beautifully formed with stunning scenery and a gorgeous coast line, harboured to which are millions of euros worth of yacht. Apparantley it costs 10,000 euros an hour to moor a yacht duting the Monaco Grand Prix. Only 32,000 people live here and they can only become citizens if Prince Albert approves their application (and they have enough money...).
The casino is aesthetically gorgeous and screams wealth. The English gardens are beautiful. We are all dolled up in our finest clobber and naturally fit right in!! lol
The cars parked outside probably cost more than a row of houses at home and I love the Louis Vuitton car.
Inside the casino no photos are allowed but the interior resembles an art gallery with the sculptures and paintings and the chandilears are to die for. The games rooms are smaller than I thought. Fascinating to watch but I don´t bet. Some of the guys do and win sixty euros. Ultimately though the house wins and the reactions of the punters are interesting! But they can afford it, putting hundreds and sometimes thousands worth of chips down at once.
Most of the guys went to the piano bar, but I stayed to browse and wander the gardens.
Just to reiterate - I love the obscene opulence that is Monaco.
