Lindsi's Travels
Today my sister and I went into the city of Perth to check out all that it has on offer. Our cousin Danika was our tour guide and, in the morning, showed us around the various clothes and shoe shops. There were some really cool shops, and as an avid shopper at home, I had to keep remembering that I was on a budget and couldn't afford to buy alot (but I did buy a Mac eyeshadow... had to be done!). Whilst wandering around the city I couldn't help noticing how clean everything was! Not a bit of graffiti or litter around, I felt like I was on an American small town film set. Having lived in London for so long, it's hard to imagine that when going to the city you won't choke on pollution, or run into some street thugs, but it so wasn't like that! Later on we ventured into King's Park and took in the amazing views of Perth City. The park is right at the top of a massive hill and you can see the whole city up there, including the beautiful Swan River. We took a walk through the Botanical Gardens, and did the Tree Top Walk, and what struck me was again how clean and tidy everything was. The lawns were like prize-winning manicured lawns, just perfect. Everything was so beautiful, and so peaceful. What a way to end the day!
