They say Bergen has rain 248 days of the year, so we were so lucky when the morning fog lifted to give a lovely sunny day. We spent the morning wondering around the Bryggen, which is made up of colourfully painted wooden houses containing little souvenir shops. This area is on the UNESCO World Heritage List of cultural sites worthy of reservation. After lunch we went on an excursion to visit Edvard Grieg's home which was fab, a really good guide gave us loads of interesting information about Grieg and his wife Nina, which I no doubt will have forgotten by tomorrow. Lol. Never mind, I enjoyed it at the time. The second formal night tonight, unfortunately I'm now smothering with a cold, which was inevitable really considering being stuck in such a confined space with so many germs.
