We are safely out of the mountains and back in civilization. Our 12 day trip turned into 6, mostly because of the weather. It was pretty cold at 13,000 feet and we were getting rained on multiple
times per day. That said, we were able to see the highest mountains we have ever seen and some of the most beautiful terrain we have ever seen. We had a great time, as I am sure you will be able to
tell in our photos. We ate fresh trout (thanks to Matt and his new fly fishing rod), hiked through trail/streams, crossed a pass at over 15,000 feet, and sat and cooked around a fire each night. It
was great! We are most likely headed back into the mountains tomorrow (Thursday, January 9) for a couple more days and then we will be moving on. I hope 2008 is treating you all well so far! We love
and miss you.
