Hello from Minnesota, we have been enjoying your blog and the pictures that go along with them ever since we met in Peru/ MacchuPicchu hike. I think both Jeff and I have to admit-we are a little jealous. What an awesome experience. It seems like you both just had a blast, and saw some pretty neat things. Glad to hear you made it home safely. We are still planning a trip to Ireland around Sept. 2010! So hopefully we can see eachother when we come over to that side of the globe. Can't wait. Take care you two!!

just reading our blog after a few glasses of vino! sad i know. but it did give me idea if you can afford a few nights in a five star hotel as a treat. as its such value for money in asia etc. than back at home.it is such a nice treat.think of it as a post engagement treat or pre wedding treat. well worth it though.

Hey Linda and Ger,
Im so sorry on lack of contact i got ur message on facebook a while ago.We have found a lovely apartment in the city just off Swanston streetonto Franklin street its fully furnished ad has gym facilities in d complex rent is gd too so happy out. Will take pics soon and put them up on facebook.
I'm good im working away with agency for now and getting regular work which is gd. Im working in some really nice hospitals the staff are lovely which makes life so much easier and doing my job so much easier. I work mostly in Epwoth hosp which is just 2train stops away and 10min walk from there. I really like that hospital. I have worked on one ward few times that the staff recognize me and say "hey Joan ur back again". I really like working on that ward work is similar to home which is great.
I find that i more confident now going to work i really gained great experience in Cork University hopsital that im not fased by my work load anymore. Its the first time i have felt really confident about my work skills and the experience i have gained. I was working with a newly qualified staff nurse and he was concerned about a pts low BP post op but i explained she's young, healthy fit, post anaesethic and on morphine for pain all contribute to low BP but by the end of the shift her BP had returned to normal. It was only then i realsied how much experience i have when ur working with someone so newly qualifed. Im really happy with work at the moment.
Im off for the weekend its my birthday today so goin out for Indian later with Ross so really looking forward to that and have got spoilt with lovely gifts and cards. Tomorrow Catherine and i are going for a facial then lunch so it will be a nice day too and on Sunday hopefully we'll go and see Billy Elliott the musical and im hoping to go and see Wicked before it leaves Melbourne in august so still have time yet to get a ticket.
I think that is everything upto date in my life i love all your pictures there fab and your so creative with taking pictures and u blog is so informative its excellent your truely having a wonderful yr traveling and you have both seen so much im so jealous would love to travel Indian pics are amazing from there. keep safe and enjoy the rest of your travels and ill look forward to reading the next update in ur blog. chat soon Love Joanie x x x ps Ross says hi

Greetings Linda and Ger from a flat but beautifully lush green Claregalway. Sorry for lack of contact but technology holds very little appeal for me. Your mam and dad keep me updated but now that I have looked at your photographs which are amazing this this is a poor act that follows. Truly I am very happy for you both. You planned your travels very well indeed.
All very well in Claregalway thanbk God. Aine has finished her exams but the job situation for summer work is very bleak. Hopefully she will get her nursing in the autumn. Patrick is grand but no job. Vincent and I are still at work which is good. Actually I finish for the wsummer on Friday 22nd - Joan and patricks birthday.
Joan, Ross and Catherine are enjoying Melbourne.
We had a wedding in Killarney at the weekend. We had a very enjoyable weekend indeed.
Vincent, Aine and I are off to Teneriffe on 7th June for two weeks. We are eagerly looking forward to it. We are hoping for endless sunshine for the two weeks. We have another wedding on 27th June so I trust I will sport a natural tan this time. It is a Galway wedding so no travel involved.
Life can be pretty uneventful when you are not travelling!! Same old story - different day. I'm not complaining. I am so happy that all is very well with family, relations and friends.
I have plenty of occupational therapy between the flower garden and the vegetable garden. Patrick decided on a vegetable garden this year so we are looking forward to home grown organic food. It should taste delicious.
I had recent contact with Deirdre, Ciara and Eoin. D is thrilled to be finished her course. She sounds very happy indeed. Ciara says that Donncha is getting very big and is very responsive now.She has a budgie for entertainment. He seems to provide great fun. Eoins teaching practice went really. He loves the teaching and will make a lovely teacher.
Your mam and dad had a lovely holiday recently. We all benefit from a complete break away from home.
Well Linda and Ger your time is really fleeting and so I hope and trust that ye will continue to enjoy every last minute of the time you have left. You will be able to write a travel book illustrated with lovely photographs.

Hey Linda & Ger
I'd a great look through all your photos and your blogs. I loved the one's of ye in the lake with the elephants, it looked deadly and the pictures of ye at the Tajmahal, it was like something ya'd see in a post card! Have your bums recovered? We laughed when we saw the sandy beds in the dessert how did ye sleep! The veg curries sound yummy, Mam made lovely cabbage and bacon there, bet Ger you'd love some! Donncha is great, he's getting plenty of attention at home, he made strange when I came home on Wednesday, and Mam says he's getting as cute as a pet fox. Meeting up with the girls to night, so it should be a bit of craic. Hope your having a nice relaxing time in Goa.
