Flight to Amsterdam was pretty much uneventful, except for some turbulence, all was good! Most importantly, we all slept!!!!
Arrived into Amsterdam at 6am and went through customs into Europe ..... Yay we are here!!!!
Waited for our flight with a coffee and a cake!
Then we took our Air France flight to Paris. Air France is nothing special much to Ella's disgust! I honestly would rather fly air Asia!!!
Arrived in Paris to find my bag didn't! So had to do the lost baggage thing!
We then made our way to the train station and validated our eurail passes! Eurail has always been a dream of Chris and I, as when we were young these were way to expensive! We had lunch, a baguette and a beer!
Ella saw a TGV go past and got scared of how fast it went! We coaxed her on, and she settled down and enjoyed the trip to Lyon.
Upon arrival in Lyon, I had less than one hour to shop for new undies and a t shirt ..... Challenge complete, at the French equivalent of best and less! And no one will ever know cause it's French!!!!
Jumped on the train to annecy and we all enjoyed the view of the lakes and mountains!
Arrived at our beautiful apartment hotel. Had a very light dinner and passed out ..... 27 hours of travel will do that to you!

Annecy
Enjoyed a beautiful stroll through the markets, tasting delicious cheeses and salamis. Followed by a coffee in a little cafe ..... Really loving the slow paced life in this quant picture postcard town!!!
Lunch was a Devine sandwich with ingredients bought at the market! Mmmm Brie!!!!!mmmmm wine!!
Which we ate on our little deck of our hotel overlooking the French alps!
After lunch we took a boat tour over the lake and enjoyed the crystal clear turquoise waters and the snow capped mountains! The wind was brisk on the lake, but the sun shone brightly!
After the boat tour we walked around the town, enjoyed an ice cream and I enjoyed shopping at Zara on my travel insurance ..... Essentials darling!!!
Dinner was cooked by moi, once again with ingredients picked up at the market!!

Caught the bus today to the alpine village of Le Grand Bonard. We were totally confused as when the bus stopped we were expecting a snow covered alpine village, unfortunately the warm weather had put a stop to that!!! Anyway we bought two sleds ..... Yes my children now own sleds???? Found a little side of a hill where the snow hadn't melted and played all morning. Was wonderfully fun and peaceful.
We had a picnic lunch on our little mountain and dried our clothes .... Note people snow is wet!!!!!
We then went to a chalet and enjoyed a grog - conjac, boiling water and sugar!
Then we went to the local ice skating rink, where a champion blonde hair, blue eyed ice skater aka Ella gave us a lesson! Was so nice to enjoy Ella's sport as a family!
We came back to Annecy tired and hungry, but happy for our beautiful day!!!
Oh and my bag was there waiting for me!!!
Au revior
