Hello all well here i am again for my second blog! quite a bit has been happening really we have been up and showed bess (our camper) the sites of the tip of the north island! stunning we spent our first night with her at Orewa which is beautiful! teh best sun rise i have ever seen! soph and i made the most of this with an early walk to soak it all up! then we were off with me behind the wheel towards the bay of islands! on our way we stopped at Leigh a tiny little fishing harbor and goat island! where we went to a marine reserve and ventured onto a glass bottem boat! With our very passionate guide we saw snappers which are known for taking peoples ear lobes off! ( we stayed inside the boat!!) blue maow maow, rays which were stunning and a penguin!!!!!!! so cute!! and very wee!
W ethen after minor hill start troubles and a bit of a wiffy clutch caused by my reversing previously! we decided a quick refreshment then off!!! this evening we did our forst freedom camp in opua opposite to russell where we headed bright and early the next day! this is one of the island making up the bay o islands! so quaint and chilled out! the bay was so so still! We found our next camp site then ventuted to see what we could find! afetr a flash scare of a liquor ban (dont panic its only a summer thing phewww!!!) we found our slelves on the water front in search of some fun!! and fun we deffinatelty founf in the form of a parasail!!! (with a very very scary face on it!however,we wernt lettinf that get in the way and) launched our selves off of the little boat into the air in tandom!! after slight worries the tena lady were not needed much to my relief!
That evening we met an expat called jack who gave us the low down as too where to go and must see places! plus beer so he was a good find!
The next morning it was 90mile beach for us! via Keri Keri to unblock my crad (poop heads!!) and of course for the chockolate factory!
After worrying slightly about time we went to the end of the beach so we can we'v been there and of course to soak up its beauty!!
Off again via rteh middle of flippin nowhere! after hours of drving nd not a soul to be seen and an incounter with an almighty beast ( the locals think what i saw was a cow but i am not convinced) we decided freedom camping was not particularly safe so what ever the distance we were not stopping!!! Thankfully we came a ccross a small town and found a perfect little spot to sleep! (even better the fire station was a mare 5mins up the road!! of course safty was teh factor not the fact fire MEN were seen in the building!) anyways, the next morning came wit hno attacks form the beast however our first rainy day!! but nothing stops us and bvess so we were off to Waipoua Forest to see the Kauroi Trees the biggest and oldest of them all!!! and not to mention stunning! so powereful looking!! after a couple of mini treks to see these wonders, one of which being around at the same time as the J man him Self 2000 years ago, we carried on towards Auckland where we began to collect Neil! on our way we made it compulsery that we came via SHEEP WORLD!!! oh my lord!!! they are pink and i mean bright pink!!!! none of this baby shizz!!! luminous!! anyway they were ok i spose!! ahhmmm!
We then decided that fake snow aint good enough for us prose so wizzed straight passed those loosers (actually very cool looking but we must keep up appearences!!) to the first camp we stayed in in Orwea. Unfortunately we then heard of Neil's injury and due to a broken leg he is no longer joining us! all very gutted but hope that he is lal and well for out next advernture in cornwall!! ( already decided this trip will be a must when home for lack of adventure may be dangerous!)
So here i am in our fav camp site keeping you all in touch with my where abouts and prepearing for our next leg of teh trip down south! our first stop being Coromandles and teh hot springs! and we just cannot wait to get all muddy again!!! (rarely very clean! especially my hair!!! one word....stationary!) Also our paln for dinner out!!!sorry bess bit soup and pickalillie is fab but not every night for us girls!!
