Well we went toRockhampton on the way but there was nothing there so just stopped over for the night. Yesterday we went to the Whitsundays on a tour. Luckily it wasn't raining as it's been hammering down every other night here and there was a massive storm last night! We went to Whitehaven and went on a walk to a lookout where the scenery was excellent and then down onto the Whitehaven Beach where the sea was freezing, we did get to see 2 stingrays though which was good although slightly disconcerting as we were going swimming later not far away!!!!

We went back on to the boat and went to luncheon Bay to snorkel! We had stinger suits on which apparently do something if you get stung and flippers and a snorkel!!! I jumped off the boat and we swam to the shallower water to see coral. I'd forgotten how fun flippers were! Well the coral was excellent all different shapres and colours and loads that looked like giant brains! There were fish everywhere that were very inquisitive and came right up to our faces all different colours. Then all of a sudden there was a shout 'HELP HELP' from some girl nearer the boat! Well everybody crapped themselves and swam quickly towards the beach. No one told us to get out though. Turns out she was a diver and something was wrong with the equipment and she nearly drowned. I saw a massive back fish about 75cm long so I quicjkly went in the opposite direction. Didn't like that thing!!! We spent about 2 hrs snorkelling and I really enjoyed it. Hopefullky my underwater camera worked well too! Swimming back to the boat I saw a tiny jellyfish so was pleased to get out alive. A really good day and one of my favourite things so far I've done so far, the water was also warm for once!!!!
