Ciao everyone =)

Last weekend was so much fun in Florence. We left on Friday and had a 6 hour bus ride there, which everyone slept on because it was 8 30 in the morning. College students dont do so good with those early mornings.

But when we arrived we went a tour of the city and saw the statue of David and all of the paintings there. We then had the rest of the night to do whatever we wanted. So Kasey and I went shopping and found this cute dinner with everyone. It was so much fun to sit and drink wine at the bar with like 10 of our friends and enjoy the beautiful city. Florence is absolutely gorgeous.

The next day we had all day to ourselves. So we went SHOPPING of course. Florence is known for their leather, so of course we went shopping. I bought a purse and some leather boots! I love them so much. I want to wear them here, but it is so hot here. It was like 90 here the other day and I wanted to die because for some reason they dont believe in air conditioning haha. My bank account is hurting real bad though now from that purchase (sorry mom and dad) Later that night we out to a disco and met so many people that are studying abroad. It was amazing. So much fun!

To end our weekend we went to Olivetti which is a city that has many caves and shops to look around in. We were all so exhausted and passed out on the bus on the way home. I had a test and presentation Monday too, but there wasnt much studying because of our amazing weekend. Good thing though is I got a 97 on the test! Cant complain with that!

Oh my goodness...so my friend Jordan got her wallet stollen on the bus yesterday. It was so sad and an awful process to get money to her from her parents and everything. She lost 150 euros, but thankfully her passpost was back at the apartment.

Also, funny thing. One of the girls here had a dress on today and an older Italian lady came up to her and started yelling at her to cover up because she was showing off to much haha. the girl's dress wasnt even that bad so that made it even more funny. I can only imagine what they think of us Americans.

But this weekend we are going to Pompeii and Capri. I am so excited because for once I might be able to get some sun. I am so pale and these places are full of beaches. We get to take a boat into the Mediterranean and swim all day. I cannot wait! We leave tomorrow morning and will get back Sunday.

I cant believe it is my last week here in Rome. I am so sad. This place has become a home for me and now I have to leave. I am excited to come home because I miss so many things. It is weird the odd things you take for granted. I go see my dad in Paris next Friday and we are taking a bike tour and a Segway tour around Paris and Versailles. I am very excited to see my dad!
