Although this blog claims to be in Sydney (which is where we are now) it is in Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong. We had a fabulous room with a view of the harbour.

Ching Ming festival today, when people go to visit their ancestor's graves. The clean them, burn hell money and decorate with flowers. It was very busy with many people carrying big bags filled with flowers and offerings. We met Peter at 9am and we went to Wong Tai Sin temple. We had to go early so that we could see the main hall. There was a ceremony for Ching Ming at 10am.

Arrive feeling freshish. Very easy to get the train to Hong Kong, but had to wait for a taxi for ages. Finally checked into the Mandarin Oriental. Lovely room overlooking the harbour. Peter picked us up and took us to the peak. A bit misty, but we had a look all around. He bought us some biscuits. We went for a meal at Victoria City restaurant and had a selection of Chinese dishes. Thet were very good. Up early in the morning to meet Peter, who will take us to Wo...

Wow it is busy here today. After a train ride and a bowl of soup Graham and I are having our first tipple of the holiday. A good old Pimms on the rocks :)

Sorry for the delay the Mandarin oriental wants huge amounts for wifi. The flight was good very comfortable and the plane was massive. We are having fun in Hong Kong and I will update you when we get wifi.
