We made it! We have been in Cairns now for a week and it's beautiful, very hot and humid and has rained a bit but that's all good cos it clears the air for a while!

We are currently looking for work and it's becoming a mission as there aren't any jobs for us as all the locals are losing their jobs. Still we are continuing our search and are hoping to buy a campervan and get around that way. I think maybe we will go inland to go fruit picking if we can't find anything in our professions!

In our time here we have been on a couple of free tours with the hostel we are staying at, one was to the crystal cascades which was fantastic and saw lots of cool things. Then the other was to the botanical garden which was also really good saw some amazing plants and flowers from all over the world, Also lots of strange spiders and butterflies.

We took the board walk through the swamp and saw some freshwater crayfish, just the downside was there werte thousands of mozzies everywhere so now we are covereed in bites especially me from head to toe! (DRIVING ME CRAZY!!) I MUST HAVE SWEET SWEET BLOOD LOL!!

We also went on a party bus around the town which takes you to a few different bars on an open top london style bus, bit bizzare but good fun!!

Hopefully will go out to the barrier reef to do some diving and snorkelling!
