We woke around 4am this morning to a mini-thunderstorm. There was 1 loud clap of thunder, a few spots of rain, and fairly gusty wind for a short while, and it was all over. After breakfast, Dad took the car to Allan's CV Joint to get the thing looked at once and for all, while the rest of us started packing up. Our objective was to pack everything into an overnight back that we want to take back to Sydney - anything left in the van will stay. We have booked a cabin for 2 nights, so anything not staying in the van, had to go into the cabin - fridge items, pantry items, overnights bags etc. In the van, we refreshed the bed linen, cleaned the fridge out, as well as the bathroom so it will be nice and clean when we return.
Our cabin is great with a double bed and bunks for Renee & Eamon; a nice kitchen/lounge area and a bathroom. It's about 150 metres from the van, so we did lots of walking today to transfer things. The van was close to the jumping pillow so that was a bonus and the cabin is close to the pool which has its benefits.
Dad rode his bike back from the CV driveshaft guy at Osborne Park about 7km away, and helped with the packing up. He left about 3pm to ride back and get the car, so Mum, Renee & Eamon went to the pool for an hour or 2 - the weather's been warm today though a little breezy.
We spent the evening between the van and the cabin, ensuring everything is in order, and had dinner at the cabin which is conveniently located across from the camp kitchen. Eamon lost his 2nd tooth on this trip, and Renee's birthday is tomorrow - she's turning 11. We are all feeling sad that the caravan is down the road, and we are not with it.
