Lewis Outback Australia
A nice cool night again, so we weren't all up at 6am like the last number of days. In fact it was a rush to get to Giekie Gorge in time for the 9.30am cruise. The cruise went for an hour, and was very interesting with the coral-looking limestone rocks on either side of the gorge. Eamon & Renee counted about 10 freshwater crocodiles, 1 wallaby, and there was lots of birdlife. Of course it was very hot (what's new) and the cruise boat had no shade - hence we chose to skip the walks afterwards, as they were along the side of the Fitzroy River we'd just gone through anyway.
Back to base to complete the term's schoolwork, have a swim and a relaxing (and hopefully another cool) night in the van.
