It's great to be able to stay in 1 place for a few days, so we can sleep in!! We had bacon & eggs for breakfast on the waters edge. It's so peaceful, with lots of ducks and other wildlife.
We go for a drive to Berri - home of much of the fruit we eat. On the way we drop into the Alba Cafe at Martin's Bend for the usual coffee and juices - this place has lots of house boats. Next stop is Aggies Fruit Stall - which has been there for a couple of generations. For $18 we get cherries, plums, apricots, rockmelon, avocado - it's a bargain and deliciously fresh.
The afternoon is spent shopping for xmas - presents and food! Mum & Eamon go away together, and Dad & Renee go in the opposite direction. We all meet up, secretely hiding all our goodies. We get home and quickly wrap each other's gifts. Renee & Eamon agree that leaving the santa sacks in the car is a good idea as he'll not want to make a racket by trying to get into the caravan to deliver his presents - so we pop the "Santa Stop Here" sign into the back window.
After a late evening swim, Renee & Mum go for a nice 5km run along the riverfront path, while Eamon & Dad ride their bikes. While dinner's cooking, we set up the fairy lights on the awning - Eamon's not feeling well for the 2nd night running, so he has a couple of hours sleep before our very late dinner.
