Queenstown is probably one of my favourite towns I've been to on my travels so far. It's so Beautiful, with views of the mountain ranges over looking a massive lake, but it's also got so much going on, so many clubs and bars, awesome food places including the Legendary Fergberger that do burgers that are literally the size of my head (not even joking), there's so much to do here and it's all within walknig distance.
Our time in Queenstown, I'm not going to lie has consisted pretty much of going out alot and eating alot of Fergburgers... Which don't get me wrong has been awesome. But the highlights of Queenstown have probably been
1) The Nevis Bungy- you've probably seen the pictures by now, but it's the second (or third?) biggest bungy in the world and it was literally one of the most terrifying things I've ever done. Way scarier than a skydive. I think it's the fact you actually have to make the decision yourself to jump and also the fact the ground is comnig towards at such a fast rate... very glad I did it though (had way too much pride to bottle it after I'd seen all the boys do it).
2) BSD (Bermuda Shorts Day)- Basically an idea that the Canadians introduced to us a while back and vowed ever since to organise it in Queens, so they did... It's basically a day where every wakes up at 10 30 and starts drinking through out the day and everyone has to wear ridiculous shorts and the same T-shirt. The drinking continued all day in the park, and involved silly games and signing each others tops for hours. Then at 5 o clock everyone retired to the roms for a 2 hour nap before getting up again, getting ready to go out and carrying on drinking... It was pretty intense but such a funny day.
Over the last 2 days we hired 2 Vans for 9 of us to do a trip down to Dunedin to watch the Highlanders vs Lions Super 15 Rugby Game. We got really into it, and brought flags, facepaints etc. and then the Highlanders went and lost by 4, whicch nobody expected!! haha it was still such a good weekend though, Dunedin is basically a massive university town so was alot of fun. On the way back we stopped off at some amazing views and a deserted beach... It's incredible how much of New Zealand is just beautiful views! I don't mean to start sounding gay, but it literally is incredible.
Anyway it's our last day in Queenstown today (boohoo) before heading up to Christchurch and heading out to Bangkok on the 2nd!
Hope you're all excited for summer, and congrats to all of those who have got through their exams!!
