So, here we are. 9.44am, Berlin - Germany.
Left Southampton at 9pm on Friday night, endured a delayed ferry crossing from Dover to Calais - delayed I might add because of some rowdy youths who thought they were gangsterz.
Leon managed to get a couple of hours kip - lucky for him as when we arrived in Calais, he drove for over 7 hours - finally reaching Wolfsburg, Germany (after passing through France, Belgium and Holland) by around 1pm.
Wolfsburg- THE strangest place on earth. Everyone owns a Volkswagen. Maybe 1 in 20 cars is a Merc or an Audi. The town appears to be purpose built for those working for Volkswagen. The football team is sponsored by Volkswagon. Very odd.
Why did we go there I hear you ask.. to the Volkswagen museum.
Leon loved it right off, spotting all the VWs he had owned. I have come to the conclusion that I would like a VW camper van.
For me, the best thing about Wolfsburg was the McDonalds... German McDonalds gets the thumbs up!
We slept for 12 hours last night, bliss.
Had a mooch around Alexanderplatz here in Berin this morning and just been up the TV Tower. Now we are off for a mega walk to the Holocaust Memorial site.
The something slightly more lighthearted.. England Vs Germany.
