Today I went to the Cailler Broc Factory in none other than Broc, Switzerland. The funny thing is I hate chocolate. But it was cool to see how they made the bitter candy. To get there, you take a train to the town of Broc. The factory was not what I had pictured; it looked more like a mansion than a chocolate factory, Wonka take me to your factory to see the small people - joke. First they led me to a room that smelled like vanilla, where they handed me a handful of the cocoa beans. There are so many different kinds of beans used in making chocolate. The milk that is used comes from local suppliers. During the last part of the tour, we entered a tasting room to eat their art, but I didn't have any. I walked around Broc to see if there was anything else interesting to see. It seems that Nestle's is the main company in this town. There are many chocolate/candy stores here, and in all fairness to the locals, I bought a Toblerone white chocolate for two Francs. This day was so SWEET.
