Hello, it's me again! Today I went to see the preparation for the annual Saint Lucia Day parade. Saint Lucia Day is a day on December 13th to honor the Italian Saint, Lucia. Every year on the 13th, the oldest daughter of the house bakes sweet buns and gingersnaps called Pepparkakor to serve to her parents. The parade here in Stockholm has the largest crowd in all of Sweden. In this parade, one girl between the ages of 13 to 17 is picked to wear the crown of candles and lead the parade as the Lucia. It is a great honor to wear the crown of candles and be the Lucia. Boy aren't forgotten in this parade; they get the role of the "star boys", who represent the star that led the three wise men to baby Jesus. Too bad I leave in two days; I would've loved to see the parade.
