First few days have flown by. Buenos Aires is an amazing city. Brett & my driver met me at the airport and we headed straight to the hotel. A short siesta and a glass of wine and nibbles, then we headed out to a tango hall. I always thought it was one of those cliche things, like people thinking kangaroos jump down the middle of the road at home but it really is an ingrained part of the Argentinian culture. The tango hall had families having dinner and couples dancing everywhere. They have beginner lessons but my Spanish is non-existent so it was a case of imitation only. Day 2 saw us doing a bit of a walking tour around BA. Including the Obelisk, Casa Rosada and lunch in Puerto Madero. Later on we went to Recoleta and wandered through the markets before dinner at la Cabrera. After dinner, headed straight back to hotel. Too stuffed full for anything else! Unfortunately steak sweats kept me up all night... Next day Brett headed off home and I did a tour around BA, then slept most of the afternoon due to my severe lack if sleep. Woke up in time for our tango experience dinner which saw us eating more steak, drinking more Malbec and watching a really good tango stage performance. Met a really nice Canadian couple who just got back from Antarctic with Gap, so now I'm really amped about getting down south. Today was a really lazy day. Just took a wander down to Recoleta and popped in to see Evita's tomb. Now it's time to pack the bags and get ready to head south!

Stephanie and Ron Sinden Hi Leigh. Thanks for the comment about the nice Canadian couple. Hope you are enjoying Patagonia. I have tried to email you but they bounce immediately. I wonder if you have a typo in your settings. Have a great trip. Stephanie
