Typically organised as usual 10 days in and now i decide to start my blog..
Euge, Lukey and me arrived in Bangkok on the Saturday afternoon to a wave of humidity which got the sweat glands on overload straight away. With an overloaded backpack and walking round the busy street of Kao San Road, i soon realised that maybe arriving in Bangkok without accommodation was a bad idea! But we sat on a streetside bar with a beer and calmed our nerves, we decided to leave Euge with our bags at the bar whilst me and Lukey roamed the streets for some available accommodation. We found somewhere straight away thankfully called 'Nanas Inn' 300baht p/n which sounds cheap but for what the accommodation was it wasnt worth it! But i'm glad we had a/c because waking up in a pool of sweat would have not been the best way to start the 1st day!
We then decided the next day that we wanted beaches sand and sun! So we headed down on the bus to Koh Samui. It cost 1150baht which is around 16pounds for a 9hr bus journey and a 5 hours boat ride! Once in Koh Samui we had another treacherous task to live up to... finding accommodation! Thankfully we gt offered accommodation straight away, from a woman in a massage parlour!! Sounds seedy but there was no funny business they were a classic bunch of women. This was 500baht between three it was basic but on a budget you cant afford to be fussy!
We hit our first party on the 2nd night in Koh Samui after recovering from jet lag. It was the Black Moon Party the first of the months celebrations (there is a Half Moon & Full Moon Party that is still to happen). My overview of the party is that it was enjoyable but also strange! Every Thai girl was a hooker and there were a few propositions which i firmly declined... So i sent them to Luke!! I sent a lady boy Lukes way before he/she could hassle me for a 'good time' and he/she ended up following him home on a scooter! Luke was not a happy man!
