Paris is an awsome city, not quite as beautiful as everyone makes it out to be but none the less one of the most magnificent cities anyone can imagin.
After a 6 hour bus ride and hour on the ferry we finally make it to Paris and do a bus tour of the city which i really good as it enables you to get a baring of the vast area the city is built on.
Seeing the Eiffel tower even from a bus is a amazing sight and driving past the Lourve and on the round about of the Arc de Triumph is both nerve wrecking and incredible.
Then the drive to the campsite which we got upgraded to a hotel which wasnt all that nice but a bed to sleep in none the less.
Next day is our free day to explore Paris. First stop is the Eiffel tower which i didnt walk up cause the lines are massive and still so much to see, I expected it to be alot bigger than what is was but is still huge.
From there made my way to the Arc de Triumph where contemplated dodgeing traffic to get to the middle but considering there is an car accident every 6 miniutes on average decided to take the underpass. From there walked down the Champs de Elyses which is the most amaying shopping strip in the world with every designer store possible on it. Bought a hugo boss shirt for the caberet tonight.
After that walked along the river and went into the Lourve to see the Mona Lisa and Madonna of the rocks. Both lovely paintings but in the scheme of things nothing special.
Tonight had the Parisan dinner which was incredible ate snails in garlic butter and was absolutly delicious and glazed duck for main course. After a couple of bottles of French Champaign with dinner went to the caberet.
Its basically a lower budget show of the Moulin Rouge but still a very entertaining show with dancing topless girls and a juggling act which got me up on stage and knocked a cigar and sunnies and a hat of my face with 5 bowling pins that they were juggling, a couple of singers and the old guy that balanced on 6 hollow pipes rocking around.
After that we headed back to the hotel ready to depart for the Beaujolais Wine Region.
