Mud Volcano Here there were many mud holes fumaroles , hot water springs and Devils Cave which was pumping out steaming sulphur water which made the stream banks green. Lots of the percolating liquids are sulphuric acid which would burn skin on contact. So we stayed well clear.

My 47th state yeehaa!! $30 for the vehicle to enter the park. We stopped at an area of thermal activity where there were geysers, fumeroles and mud holes. Etc. These are not places to touch as the bacteria turn the chemicals into Sulphuric Acid ( H2SO4 if I remember correctly). Then onto the piece de la resistance -Old Faithful. Where we watched her erupt twice and took many pics and vids.

Old faithful again. It was so impressive we had to see it spout for a second time.

KOA camp with log cabin for Suzanne and the girls. Lovely Flamingo Cafe on site with superb breakfast toasted sandwiches -2 eggs bacon and cheese! Lovely jubbly. Suzanne's plane was delayed in Denver due to hailstones so arrived an hour late in Helena. Soon back to campsite where I had made their beds. Good night!

Went hunting gems today in Philipsburg and found a good few small and minute Sapphires ( not worth much Doh!) good fun though! Now on my way to Virginia City the gold mining ghost town. I wonder if I'll see any ghosts?
