Got myself a hair cut today. It's time to start growing back a normal hairstyle. Very short hair is great for travelling, but I prefer to have a bit of a hairstyle. I went to the place where Damian worked called Get Funkd to see how much it would cost. I promptly said Get Funkd to them too - $62 (£31) for a men's haircut! So I went around the corner to where Craig got his haircut and it cost me $15 (£7.50). I look a complete donut, but it was cheap as chips.
Guess where we went for lunch...Midnight Espresso. We looked at a few other places but everywhere is expensive compared to that place. It's not a fancy place, they just do good food. It's a kind of hippy type place with lots of vegan stuff. We had chocolate cake which is made with beetroot instead of eggs...don't ask, I don't know how.
Wellington is an odd place I think. A lot of people really like it, but I'm not taken by it really. It's alright, but not fantastic. Christchurch is better.
At least the sun came out today, so we decided to go for a walk up Mt Victoria. Therese was muttering away to herself all the way up because she was wearing flip-flops and kept slipping, and she had her jeans on so was too warm. We finally made it up, and it was definitely worth it for the fantastic views. Wellington is much bigger than it seems as well. And the bay is huge.
We had a quick tea tonight and watched the news about Christchurch, then Mel came and met us to say goodbye. This is definitely the last time we'll see Mel because she is going to be working in wellington, then we leave NZ in two days! It's really sad leaving everyone, but it won't be that long until we see than in the UK for a big reunion.
