Jack and Louise eloped in Waipio Valley in Hawaii. The first couple to select the beautiful valley for a ceremony under the waterfall, took away a lot of memories (astronaut and research scientests for witnesses, and a dog!) Honeymoon night was in a treehouse built by the Beech aircraft family. Incredible! Alt!)ough we later admitted to each other that we weren't sure about the hike across the river and into the woods, stopping to make a "Sacrifice" to the Gods--we both thought we might be the sacrifice! The honeymoon continued in Oahu and kauai--including incredible waterfalls and sunsets. plus a swimming mouse in our condo pool! About 3 months later, a young couple copied our unique plan and were featured in People Magazine and on the Today Show. (But we know who REALLY was the first to find the unique wedding spot!) Swimming with the dolphins for a pre-nuptial event and a stop at McDonald's cured any pre-wedding jitters. A beautiful place and I felt that my father's spirit was with me....and my Mom and my office tracked us down We sent coconuts with a wedding announcement and they arrived stateside as our ceremony started--the quickest mailing and delivery of a coconut in history! (Where are those post office workers today?)
