Happy Canada Day!!

What a beautiful City Quebec City is! I absolutely love it here and it's one of the places I feel I could live happily.
What I did notice, however, was that there are absolutely no signs that today is Canada Day. Except for the Canada Day t-shirts we're wearing, of course.
We got a good early start and as we were leaving this stunning and spotless city, we counted 3 Canadian flags, one at U Laval (but it was behind the more predominantly displayed Quebec flag) one at a large National insurance company and another in front of a government building. Not a single maple leaf anywhere else, which made my "I love Canada" tee stand out even more.
A short discussion with the kids as to the reasons followed.

We are now on the road to Moncton where there will be a special and spectacular fireworks display to honour the three Mounties killed there last month.

We will be staying in Moncton for three days while Marc works at the Jump+ location there. The kids and I will be enjoying the Ramada Crystal Palace and the activities there. But that is still 8 hours away...
