Another early start, which is fine, as long as the breakfast is ready on time, and you don't get told off for attempting to take food before they ring the bell. We had to leave at 5:15 but breakfast wasn't ready until after 5:00 (supposed to be ready from 4:30), plus telling off, poor form. Also, others in our group were incapable of doing anything on time, and the boat driver was asleep. This all conspired towards us missing the Parrot Clay Lick also. We saw alot of Green Parrots but they had finished their clay party. We did get to see the Macaws however, and got some good photos, amazing birds, but they didn't visit the clay wall either, possibly because of the circling Vultures and loud American accents.
Visited a local farm on the way back, which provides a bulk of the fresh fruit and herbal medicines to surrounding villages, both native and tourist. Had bananas, giant avocados, star fruit, pineapple, tomatoes, oranges, limes plus more strange things, some we tried, bananas and oranges were good.
Afternoon off as the rest of our group and a pregnant lady were tired, I was too to tell you the truth. Went for a night walk, Amanda stayed at the lodge. Didn't see much, some massive ants, monkey silhouettes, fireflies that you could use as a torch!
Overall disappointing not to have seen more wildlife on this Amazon trip.
